Wipe
Another name for tooling the block. You swing at the outside of the blocker's hand so the ball deflects out of bounds. If a coach calls "wipe," that is the cue. If a scorekeeper writes it down, it is a kill off the block. Tool is the word you will hear more often. Wipe describes the same swing.

The hitter swings across the outside hand of the right-side blocker. The ball lands in the chairs on the other side of the antenna. Point.
